2 H&M items on display in the Louvre

When you think of H&M, the last thing that would probably ever cross your mind is their work being displayed in such a prestigious place like the Louvre. Yet the latter is in fact true. And we’re not just talking about one item, but two. One is from the collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld from a couple of years back and the other is from the recent Conscious Collection. H&M has the right connections with the museum because they’re sponsoring the exhibition but just admit it; these two pieces are so beautiful that we could not and should not forget about them.

Last Tuesday evening the exhibition ‘Fashion Forward 3 siècles de mode’ (three centuries of fashion) was opened at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs of the Louvre – the exact location I was introduced to the Conscious Collection a couple weeks back.

All of fashion royalty paved their way to Paris to admire the 300 crown jewels. Jean Paul Gaultier, Caroline de Maigret (wearing the top that I want to have. Better yet, the top that is waiting for me at the H&M showroom), Marie-Ange Casta and Julia Restoin Roitfeld.

Now all that’s left for you to do is head on over to Paris to check out this exhibition which will be at the Louvre until August, but until then, I’ll leave you with the above photos of the event.
