My life in a bag
Keesje Heldoorn
You never know when the sun will be out and that’s why Keesje always carries around a pair of sunglasses. Well that, and to hide any signs of a hangover. Although I don’t think this pretty face is one that should be hidden. Want to know what Keesje does when she leaves her front door and what she does with her brilliant ideas? Read about it here.
How many bags do you own?
‘Uhm, next question? No, I work as the show room manager at Oona PR so let’s just say I’m always tempted to take home a few beauty’s.’
What’s the story behind this bag?
‘I love things that are from relatively unknown brands, it makes it more exciting. This bag is from the brand Essential, a company from Antwerp which intrigues me because of their bold prints and cool details.’
How well do you take care of your bag?
‘I’m one of those people who saves every receipt, empty packages and any other kind of junk in my bag and let it be for about six months. I also always manage to put too much into it because I have a tendency to go for unpractical bags. Unpractical but pretty.’
How about its content?
‘I love leaving my home prepared for anything that gets thrown my ways, so I always have sunscreen and hair spray with me. Red lipstick if unexpectedly need to spice up a casual outfit. A lip scrub is also something you’ll always find because if there’s one thing I hate, it’s chapped lips. Yuck.’
What do you always carry around with you?
‘My sunglasses! You never know when the sun is going to shine or when you have to conceal your hungover head. Oh, and a notebook to write down any genius ideas I come up with throughout the day of course.’
What do you think are the best qualities of a bag?
‘That you can use it any day of the week if you want to. That way there’s at least one part of my outfit I don’t have to think about, haha.’
Which bag is still on your wish list?
‘Super cliché, but it’s got to be a vintage Chanel bag. They’re classics. It’s something you’ll never throw away. Yeah… Why don’t I actually already have one?’
