How many bags do you own?
‘I have one bag. It’s the monogram shopper from Céline from the first collection from Phoebe Philo from 2010.’
What’s the story behind this one?
‘The Chanel bag in these photos is for sale in my business partner Tami Kern’s gallery. She sells second hand designer items and I was allowed to borrow this one from her shop.’
How well do you take care of it?
‘During the day I always hang it to the steer of my bike. In the evening I use the pockets in my coats to carry around my things.’
What about its content?
‘My passport is always in it and my keys, wallet, something for my lips, a pen, my phone, a charger, my laptop and a banana.’
What do you always carry around with you?
‘Keys.’
What do you think are the best qualities of a bag?
‘A bag has to be elegant and authentic.’

Vorige week mocht ik al kennismaken met het vintage vondstje van Evan. Deze week is het de eer aan Joan met haar Chanellenkind. Nou ja haar kind, laten we het houden op een soort logeerkind. Hoeveel tassen heb je?
‘Ik heb één tas. Dat is een monogram shopper van Céline uit de eerste collectie van Phoebe Philo in 2010.’
Wat is het verhaal achter deze tas?
‘De Chanel-tas op de foto is te koop in de gallery van mijn business partner Tami Kern. Zij verkoopt tweedehands designer items en deze mocht ik even lenen uit de shop. We hebben samen ons Bureau de Mode, Kern & Dijkstra, op de Prinsengracht 715.’
Hoe ga je met je tas om?
‘Overdag gaat ‘ie altijd mee aan mijn stuur. ’s Avonds gebruik ik mijn jaszakken om spullen in te doen.’
Hoe zit het met de inhoud?
‘Mijn paspoort zit erin en verder sleutels, mijn portemonnee, iets voor op mijn lippen, een pen, mijn telefoon, een oplader, mijn laptop en een banaan.’
Wat heb je altijd bij je?
‘Sleutels.’
Wat zijn volgens jou de beste eigenschappen van een tas?
‘Een tas moet elegant en authentiek zijn.’
Welke staat nog op je wishlist?
