It’s Tuesday so it’s time to introduce you to a new bag! Today we’re happy to introduce you to Susana’s very first Alexander McQueen from her collection of bags. Read more about how she takes care of it, how she got it and what you can still find on her wish list!
How many bags do you own?
‘My sweet spot are purses so naturally I have a large collection around 25-30 bags. This bag obsession was passed down from my grandmother and mother who are always letting me borrow (really steal) their collection. I love my grandmother’s vintage bags as they will always be classics.’
What’s the story behind this bag?
‘I got this bag last year for Christmas from my grandmother. It was very special as it was my first Alexander McQueen addition to my collection.’
How well do you take care of your bags?
‘I always take care of my designer bags and pack them in the dust bag to protect them. They are my babies!’
What about it’s content?
‘Im not a very organized person so I usually have a bunch of random things thrown in there. Sometimes I wonder how such things got in there.’
What do you always carry around?
‘I always have my mini vaseline to keep moisturized and a photograph of my stylish grandmother from the 1960’s to remind me of her. She lives in Colombia so I dont get to see her often.’
What do you think are the best characteristics of a bag?
‘I love how a bag can describe your mood. When you’re feeling happy you tend to wear bright color but when its winter and cold, I tend to stick to monochromatic colors. Thats why I love this McQueen bag, the black&white matches with everything.’
Which bag is still on your wish list?
‘Im still obsessing over the Louis Vuitton mini mallet bag because I think its so creative to shrink down what is usually a travel suitcase into a small little purse. Its too cute!’

Hoeveel tassen heb je?
‘Mijn ‘sweet spot’ zijn tassen, dus eigenlijk is het niet meer dan logisch dat ik best een grote collectie heb van ongeveer 25 tot 30 tassen. Deze tassenobsessie is aan mij doorgegeven door mijn oma en mijn moeder, die me altijd hun tassen leenden (nou ja, ik stal ze vooral uit hun kast). Ik houd van mijn oma’s vintage tassen, want dat blijven altijd klassiekers.’
Wat is het verhaal achter deze tas?
‘Deze tas kreeg ik vorig jaar met Kerst van mijn oma. Het voelde voor mij heel speciaal, want het was de eerste Alexander McQueen die ik aan mijn collectie mocht toevoegen.’
Hoe ga je met je tas om?
‘Ik zorg altijd heel goed voor mijn designertassen en stop ze dus ook altijd in dustbags om ze te beschermen. Ze zijn mijn baby’s.’
Hoe zit het met de inhoud?
‘Ik ben niet een heel georganiseerd persoon, dus ik gooi meestal gewoon een aantal willekeurige items in mijn tas. Soms vraag ik me zelfs af hoe zoiets dan in mijn tas komt.’
Wat heb je altijd bij je?
‘Ik heb altijd mini-Vaseline bij me en een foto van mijn stylish oma uit de jaren ‘60 die me aan haar herinnert. Ze woont in Colombia, dus ik zie haar niet zo vaak.’

Welke staat nog op je wishlist?
‘Ik ben bezeten van de Louis Vuitton Mini Malletage Bag, want ik vind het ontzettend creatief om iets dat eigenlijk een reiskoffer was te verkleinen naar een kleine tas. Het is gewoon te schattig.’
