WHY YOU’RE GOING TO BE VERY HAPPY THIS WEEKEND

if you re-watch Friends

We have the tendency here at Amayzine to bring up just how great Sex and the City was any chance we get and how we plan on going straight back to the first season to re-watch it all over again. But let’s not forget, there are more shows worth re-watching.

Take Friends for example. (Has everyone seen their reunion at James Burrow’s All Star Tribute?) Netflix has all 10 seasons on there. Last week while scrolling through Netflix, I decided I was up for a round of Friends and ever since, ever hour I have off has been dedicated to those six friends.

It’s safe to say that I’ve seen every episode at least three times, so I know exactly which jokes to expect. Better yet, I can probably even recite the entire dialogue if I wanted to. But no matter what, these guys still get me laughing out loud. Literally. Somewhat embarrassing, actually. And what makes it worse: I know which jokes to expect and then I find myself laughing before they’ve even said anything. I know, I know.

I am now halfway through season 4 and seeing Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey at work is already making me feel a bit of melancholy. Remember that episode with Ross and his ‘sound’? And the whole ‘WE WERE ON A BREAK’ Ross and Rachel drama? Their entire relationship in fact; my god, I seriously had to cry again when they broke up. Oh, and Phoebe and her ‘Smelly Cat’, and Chandler and his jokes: ‘Could you BE anymore stupid?” Crazy old Chandler. Don’t even get me started on Joey: “How you doin’?” Oooooh and the chick and duck, how could we ever forget them?

Long story short, do you have a hangover? That’s great: turn on Friends. Don’t have hangover? That’s great too, cancel all your appointments and stay at home. Because Friends is always there for you.
