SO MAY-BRITT WENT TO CANNES TO MEET KENDALL

What do you wear?

When I left this morning correction, night -or perhaps I should say last night, at the most ungodly hour- I wasn’t pleased at all. The only thing going through my head to keep me sane was a. I was going to meet Kendall Jenner in person and b. I already had my outfit ready.

Now I’m sure you want to know all about chapter a. meeting Kendall. Why? I’ll get to that. Kendall is the face of the Magnum Double ice cream. 250 calories (the whole story about Magnums consisting of half a pack of butter is a lie) and this Magnum Double has two layers of chocolate and a flavor of your choice in-between. Like salted caramel. To name just one of the options.

Anyways, Kenall is California and California is ice cream (and besides when it comes to Kendall you can picture you actually eating it instead of just staring at it), so the decision to book her was easy. The next step was shooting a campaign which would bring together Kendall’s beauty and Magnum’s fashion heart. Enter dynamic Mert & Marcus.

And then there’s me. Headed to Cannes. And since Cannes is always a good idea and I can never refuse walking over the Croisette during the film festival, I said yes. Now all I needed was something to wear. The dress code was Wild Glamour/Fierce Sophistication. So…. You’ll not exactly what you need to wear. Not. I had exactly 0 minutes to shop for an outfit because okay, I might have kept delaying it because my schedule was swamped with appointments.

The good news is that I was in a small town in the Netherlands which happened to have one of my favorite stores (Pauw) and so I called my Charlotte (also my favorite because she’s the best style advisor you could dream of however I always want to buy everything she shows me…) and so I left with a bag full of designer gear.

I ended up going for a skirt from their own label Pauw with a soft shirt from Woolrich during the day. Added a Marni belt and an Odeeh jacket to make it a little edgier. And the blue lace up heels are from a store called Mayke. Favorite, favorite, favorite.

I hope Kendall approves.
