the 7 benefits of not being a fit-girl

For about ten weeks I tried to transform into a ‘healthier’ version of myself by working out a lot and eating healthy but I have come to the conclusion that becoming a real fit-girl is not in the cards for me. Instead of feeling shit about it, I decided to see the pro’s of the situation.

Here they are:

1. You’re the easiest person to go out to dinner with

Want to go our for sushi? Pizza? A salad outside on a terrace in the sun? Or are you up to go get some fast food somewhere? Whichever one it is, you’re down for all of them. That’s how flexible you are. It’s great.

2. Hallelujah: you can eat your meal when it’s still warm

You never struggle trying to take the perfect photo of your meal in a room with bad lighting with friends who are impatiently waiting to take a bite from the dish in front of them. Nope. You’re going straight for the kill – when it’s still hot hot hot.

3. You have a lot more free time on your hands

Traveling to the gym, working out itself, traveling back home, taking a shower, waking up early to make that whole wheat-soya-goatmilk-oatmeal brekkie… Nope. That peanut butter and jelly sandwich will be just fine (and much much quicker).

4. You are able to sleep in

Because that freshly made spinach/blueberry/whatever-smoothie that always requires getting out of bed fifteen minutes earlier doesn’t need to be made.

5. You save money

Do you even know how expensive it is to be a fit-girl?!

6. You don’t get bombarded with questions and advice

Our health editor Jet: “For some reason people always ask me for advice or send me photos when they’re in the gym.” Hah, that’s a problem I never have to deal with.
