these are the 7 items you are going to want from the H&M Conscious Collection
Every advantage comes with a disadvantage when it comes to my job. The advantage; being one of the first to check out a new collection. The disadvantage; having to wait until the collection hits stores. Thank god there was only a month between my visit to Paris to check out the new H&M Conscious Collection and being able to purchase it in stores. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to get my hands on a couple of their newest items and consider it occupational therapy, but I made a top 7 of the collection that you’re not going to be able to live without.
1. The dress
This season’s Conscious Collection consists of three wedding dresses, and out of the three, I find this one to be the most coveting. The price might be a little on the high end for H&M, but think durability and sustainability and that any other wedding dress might be triple the price, and you’ll no longer shy away from the price tag. Plus, how cool would this dress look with a pair of cowboy boots?
2. The jacket
The head of H&M’s sustainability department wore this jacket, but the unfortunate part of this jacket in the look book is that it doesn’t show it’s coolest asset. The back of this jacket has an open back at the bottom in the shape of an oval. You need to see it first hand of course, but I can assure you that jacket is bound to become one of your favorites.
3. The top
The lace top is perfect when you combine it with some ripped jeans, denim cutoffs (again, with a pair of cowboy boots), it’ll look gorgeous with a floor length skirt and it’ll look its best when you pair it with item number 4…
4. The skirt
The perfect duet with the latter mentioned object. Add some sandals or ankle boots and you’ll be the hit at every festival you’re going to be attending this summer.
5. The kaftan
This one is going to put you in the mood for Ibiza, Greece and everywhere else the sun is shining and the glass in your hand is always half full. Wear it with a wide pair of trousers or at the pool with nothing underneath. Well, not nothing, your bikini obviously.
6. The skirt number two
You might remember the eye catching floor length skirt from last years collection. Well, this is this years equivalent. Full of volume, a little shorter in the front that’ll give you a small glimpse of your legs and it’s completely party proof.
7. The short little dress
With pockets. I love dresses and skirts with pockets.
