THE PROCESS OF beauty REHAB
Goodbye fake nails, lashes and hair
I’m a huge advocate for pure beauty. Alright, admitted: 80% pure, because I’d lie if I said my hair is my natural color and I’ve also entered the land of fake nails. But if you want to go back to 100% pure, it’s a hassle. The rehab is hell. All you’re capable of doing is pulling through it and you’ll change from a Kim Kardashian into a Taylor Swift.
Acrylic nails
It’s a hard process, to put it bluntly, because I’m currently in the midst of it. Once you’ve gotten your acrylic nails off, that’s when the hard works starts. Your nails are fragile and nail polish doesn’t stay on for more than three minutes. At first you’re going to regret getting rid of your acrylic nails but try and focus on the positive. The first step is investing in the time: you can spend hours getting rid of old polish residue, re-polish them, filing them, using oils to make them strong again. Give it about three weeks and you’ll have survived the hurdle and you’ll notice your nails starting to look a lot better.
Lashes
You probably spend at least one full evening every month getting your fake lashes done. But if you want to quit doing this, it’s tough, because suddenly your eyes will feel extremely bare. Fix this by emphasizing a different area of your face. Think bold colored lips for example, something like this will do the trick.
Extensions
Extensions can give you the most luscious head of hair making it a very addictive thing to get rid of. But don’t forget, your hair grows, which means the extensions grow with it and before you know it, everyone will be able to see the lines where the real hair ends and the fake begins. And then I haven’t even brought up the costs of maintaining it. Time to dump them and spend more time in the sun, eat more egg whites and workout more. You’ll look like Rapunzel before you know it.
