THE WEIRDEST BEAUTY INGREDIENTS
Sometimes you read product labels, usually beauty product labels, and you come across ingredients that seem more suitable on your fork than on your face. Or things you would rather not even come in contact with. Welcome to the beauty industry. We all dream of porcelain skin, so if that means we have to use poop, snake slime or peanut butter to get it, we will. Crazy, but true.
kinda crazy: quinoa
Yep, that one food trend everyone is frantically taking part in. It’s kind of the code word for pretty much everything related to healthy eating. Some people claim that smearing this on your face will prevent pigmentation and postpone aging. Apparently it’ll help keep your face hydrated too. So don’t only eat it, smear it.
crazy: charcoal
Sounds absurd and hard to believe, but apparently charcoal helps get rid of any dirt in your pores and is the master of clean skin. There are plenty of scrubs and beauty stones you can find in stores nowadays and believe me, I tested this out, and it works.
very crazy: bee poison
Might sound logical when you think about it. If you get stung, your skin swells. So you can kind of think of it as a alternative for botox. Don’t panic about allergic reactions, it’s been refined before you smear it on. Your skin will feel more elastic, you’ll have less wrinkles and it is completely harmless.
worrying type of crazy: urine
This is definitely not the first thing you would ever think of smearing on your face. But you might understand why it’s good for you. It is very hydrating for your skin and helps build up a skin barrier. Oh, and it’s cheap too.
uncanny kind of crazy: snake slime
This sounds horrendous but apparently it helps fade out scars and makes your skin glow. All I know is that they love it in Korea and claim that this is the ultimate beauty ingredient.
craziest: dragon blood
Yep, the craziest. No dragons were harmed in the process though. The name derives from a plant called Dragon and it supposedly works as a great product to reduce inflammation (bye bye, acne) and makes your skin thicker and healthier.
Alright, well, now you know what you need to do to obtain that porcelain skin. Let me know if you give any of these a try okay?
