ThE WOW BROW
Three eyebrow trends to rock this season
It’s the talk of the town: brows are still very much holding on to their number one spot on the beauty looks we love list. And if you’ve been sticking to all the brow rules, you’ve been growing yours out since last season, but now it’s time to take it one step further. Say hello to the newest trends in the world of eyebrows.
Smokey brow
Trend number one: shaping your bushy brows. And when I say shape, I don’t mean you have to make them as skinny as they did back in the thirties, but using wax to make them sharp. Gel works too, anything that’ll keep all your hairs fixed into place and the key words being sleek and shiny. Top it off by using a highlighter to highlight around your brows to make them more defined.
Bushy brows
This is a trend I mentioned a while back and it’s actually the complete opposite of what I wrote above. Unlike the smokey brow, this trend takes little to no time to create; getting out of bed is actually almost plenty. Christopher Kane showed little undone bushes above the eye with hairs in places you would usually pluck them.
No match
MAC Cosmetics has dedicated an entire collection to brows in honor of their importance. If we are to believe brow-expert Damone Roberts, the eyebrow has gone through an entire evolution in which almost every aspect of how they can be worn has been covered. The one problem though that always seems to arise is that people always want to match their brow color to their hair color. This isn’t necessary. If you’ve got really light hair, it’s okay if your eyebrows are dark. Better even. And if you’ve got black hair, don’t shy away from blonde eyebrows.
