THINGS TO DO FOR YOUR MAN ON VALENTINES DAY
Let’s be honest ladies, all of us expect something from our men on Valentine’s Day. Whether it’s a tiny box of chocolates, dinner and a movie or a romantic getaway. The pressure is on for the boys to be creative and most importantly, NOT let us down. For those of you who want to switch it up and put his wishes first on Cupid’s day for a change, read on.
Take him to a sports event
He’s in luck. Valentine’s Day is on a Sunday this year, which means there are tons of games to go to. Surprise him with tickets to a football, baseball or soccer game and you’ll be Girlfriend of the Year. If you’re not much of a sports fan, have no fear; games are much more fun to watch from the sidelines than in front of the TV. Just drink a beer, root for his team and enjoy the approving and impressed nods your man will get from the guys who wished they had such an awesome girlfriend.
Go shopping
Ha, you wish. There’s one store and one store only. Take your hubby to go lingerie shopping and let him pick out an ‘outfit’ for you to wear that night. Or an hour later. We don’t judge.
Create a man cave
Our fave. It’s perfect for when you’re low on cash or when he prefers spending his days off at home. Go out to ‘run an errand’ and come home with a six-pack of beer, a bucket of chicken wings and his favorite snacks. Make sure you have his favorite trilogy ready to watch (just remember you made him watch The Notebook and every movie that starred Jennifer Aniston), close the blinds and cozy up on the couch under a blanket, surrounded by 2000 calories. Yum.

British style pub-quizzes have been popping up all over the US and Europe for a while now. It’s a place where you get to indulge in social drinking and let your competitive spirit loose. It’s also the perfect time to put your knowledge of useless and random facts to good use (who said that your ability to quote every line in ‘Friends’ was a waste?). So you don’t only get to show off how clever you are without bragging, but it’s also the perfect date to work together as a team and get that ‘us against the world’ vibe going on. Move over, Bey and Jay.
