a gym subscription?

These are the things you should look out for

The summer is in sight. Wait what am I saying? It has already somewhat started. People are subscribing to gyms left, right, front and center just to make sure they look good the next time they’ll be parading on the beach. The biggest and cheapest gym is closer than you’d think. Set foot outside your front door and you’re in it. But if you would still much rather lift weights and work with cardio machines, then I would definitely recommend a subscription at a gym, but be aware, here are a few things you need to keep in mind:

– How long are you going to be stuck with your subscription and are you able to cancel it when you can? The latter is an essential question.

– Make sure the gym is close to where you live, then you’ll go more often.

– Wait for some kind of discount.

– Don’t forget to look at the small print in the contract or else you might be surprised with unexpected costs. Before you know it, you’ll be stuck with an expensive contract for a year.

– Want some personal guidance? Ask what the costs are because they can end up more expensive than you’d like.

– What can you do if you leave the country for a long trip? Is it possible to pause your subscription or let someone else use it?

– Do you have the need to follow courses? What does their roster look like? Does it fit yours?

– Check out the changing rooms and bathrooms too. Are they decent?

– Ask for a trial training first, this way you can check out the atmosphere of the place and the kinds of people that work out there. Or you can take a trial subscription for a month, that’ll give you an even better insight.

– Check the hours that it’s open and think of whether or not you agree with them. (Morning workouts are the best way to get your energized.)

– Check to see if the gym has good looking guys walking around. Might make it more appealing (or less). Haha.
