Things you want to know about the GILMORE GIRLS

Luke’s Diner is my regular coffee stop and I go to Chilton, because I want to go to Harvard. On Friday nights I go to Emily and Richard’s for a fancy dinner. I pretty much drop by friends Stars Hollow every week; Lorelai and Rory (they call it binge watching). A long time ago I had the hots for Dean (and sometimes Jess), but I’ve started to see the advantages of Mister Medina now too. How about you? Here are a couple things you really want to know about the Gilmore Girls.

-Paris Gellar (who in real life goes by the name Liza Weil but she’ll always be Paris to me) originally auditioned for Rory. Now I know what you’re thinking: Lorelai and Paris drinking coffee at Luke’s. Nope, we can’t picture it. But luckily one of the shows makers saw Paris as Paris and there she was.

-We’ve got a conspiracy theory here at the office. I’m not saying whether or not there’s any truth to it, but it’s buzzing, that’s all. If these hints are telling the truth, then this is an extreme spoiler alert. Be warned. But if something is buzzing, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. And that’s just one clue in the trailer for the new season. Lorelai had an absurd craving for apples when she was pregnant with Rory. And what is she eating? AN APPLE. Add the text on her shirt into the mix (‘I’m with human’) and it looks like Lorelai might have a bun in the oven.

-Drella, you know, the harpist you’d rather hit in the face with her own harp, was actually being casted for the role of Sookie. In the real world, Drella (better known as Alex Borstein) is married to Sookie’s husband Jackson.

-Keiko Agena, the youngin Lane, was twenty-seven when she was cast as Rory’s best friend. Something about forever young. And her character is based on a real person.
-Alexis Bledel mumbled a couple of Spanish words to Emily and Richard’s maid. In the show, Rory is a hazard with other languages, but in real life, Spanish is Alexis’ mother tongue. No hablo my… that.

-Ever spot Lorelai and Rory without any coffee? Then I’m pretty sure you were watching a different show. They were the coffee-sisters-in-crime. But to avoid an overkill of coffee, Alexis and Lauren were sipping on water nine out of ten times in their scenes.

-And those dozen of calories the Gilmore Girls would stuff down their throats? It was all too good to be true. Pretty much all of the food that they ate ended up in a spit bucket. That’s what Lauren Graham admitted to during The Today Show. Sucks to hear though, they were our hope in thin-junk food-days.
