Peggy Weijergang

Shamelessly walking into the wardrobes of women who know and have everything about the latest fashion is one of my guilty pleasures. The shoes, the bags, the it-outfits, I want those too! This week, take a look with me in the closet of Peggy Weijergang, our editor and professional fashion junkie.

I find it very important that my bedroom looks nice. It doesn't have to be expensive at all. I simply stick beautiful photos of models and sexy women on my Ikea cabinets. This way, my bedroom gets a personal style. My apartment isn't big, I keep my winter and summer wardrobe separate. As soon as autumn comes, my summer wardrobe disappears to the attic, including the accompanying shoes.

Typical Peggy: I don't keep my clothes for long. In spring and autumn, I look very strictly at what can last another season and what can't. I give away a lot of clothes.

SHOES

I have a weakness for ballerinas and Gucci loafers. When I find a perfect pair, I buy them in all colors. I also have a lot of heels, but I only like thin heels, no wedges.

MARINE LOOK

This is my ideal weekend outfit. Also perfect for when you have a day without inspiration. A good pair of jeans, a sweater or shirt with marine stripes, and a nice belt (could just be a Hermès for that little touch of chic) and a pair of Gucci loafers. Simple, but very stylish.

SEXY SHOES

My husband bought these shoes for me at Sabia Rosa, the most exclusive lingerie store in Paris. Naomi Campbell buys all her underwear there.

MY STYLE

I think you can call it simple & chic. I've been dressing like this my whole life. Nothing complicated: a nice pair of trousers or a skirt, a simple sweater, and then style it further with lots of accessories.

PEGGY & JEWELRY

Three watches, Hermès bracelets, and lots of rings… I love big jewelry and also jewelry with an edge (just a bit different than usual?)

PEGGY & BAGS

Of course, I keep all of those! My Gucci Bamboo comes from the first collection of Tom Ford for Gucci. I received my Birkin bag as a gift, it's vintage, and I really love that bag so much.

Do you remember May, you borrowed it when you had to go to Paris for your job interview at Marie-Claire and became editor-in-chief? I have more Gucci bags and also bags from Fendi. I take a different bag every day. That's, I think, the stylist in me…

Peggy Weijergang

For me, it’s very important that my bedroom looks nice. And it doesn’t need to be expensive to make it look good. I decorate my Ikea-cabinets with photographs of pretty models and sexy women. That way I give my bedroom a personal touch.

Because my apartment is not that big, I keep my summer clothes and winter outfits separate. As soon as the autumn starts, all my summer clothes disappear to the attic, shoes included.

Typical Peggy: I never keep clothes for very long. In fact at the start of a new season, I go through the entire wardrobe and very strictly decide what’s still hot and what’s not. I give away lots of clothes.

SHOES

I’ve got a soft spot for ballerinas and for Gucci loafers. When I find a perfect pair, I buy them in all colours. Apart from that, I’ve got many heels but I actually only like slim heels, not wedges or big ones.

MARINE LOOK

This is my ideal weekend wear. Also perfect if you lack inspiration and don’t know what to wear. A good pair of jeans, a marine striped shirt, a nice belt (could be Hermès for a chic edge) and my Gucci loafers. Simple pieces that exude effortless style.

SEXY SHOES

My lover bought me these shoes at Sabia Rosa, the most luxurious lingeriestore in St Germain, Paris. Naomi Campbell buys all her underwear there.

MY STYLE

I guess you can call it simple & chic. I’ve been dressing like this all my life. Nothing elaborate: good trousers or a nice skirt, a simple sweater and then I love to finish it off with a lot of accessories.

PEGGY & JEWELRY

Three watches, Hermès-bracelets, many rings… I like my jewelry big and sometimes with an edge.

PEGGY & BAGS

I keep my bags forever! My Gucci Bamboo was from the first Tom Ford at Gucci collection. The Birkin bag was a gift, it’s vintage and I just love it so much. Remember May, you borrowed it when you went to Paris for your job interview when you became editor-in-chief of Marie Claire. I also have other Gucci and Fendi bags. I change bags every day. Once a stylist always a stylist…
