WE HEART SELFIES
Here at Amayzine HQ, a shriek can be heard with some regularity when someone stumbles upon another far too bizarre/extreme/blotchy/self-filling/Instagram photo of a celeb. Naked torsos, block bellies, enviable wardrobes, dozens of duckfaces oh, we hardly look at anything anymore. Now the year is almost over and that always makes us very melancholic, which results in many fine lists. This year, ‘selfie’ was voted word of the year so this list is, bien sûr, about selfies. May we present, the most startling selfies of the past year. Let's start right with the highlight: the buttocks of Kim K 2.0. Love her or hate her, the photo got more than a million likes and from Daily Mail to NOS and nu.nl the push messages came through (sort of). Furthermore, we James Franco who gives in to the naked-selfie trend and joins in (we really don't mind). Of course, this list also includes Miley with without eyebrows. And fortunately also for a stunningly beautiful and loeisexy Doutzen Kroes who tries to keep hubby Sunnery James away from hungry groupies by twirling her graceful derriere in front of the skype camera. Then, Beyoncé who made friend and foe alike fall off their chairs by sporting her new pixie cut. Or Michelle Obama, when serious political figures start making things like selfies then you know the term is on the wane, but still, a pretty fine picture that fits nicely into our list. Oh dear, I forget Craig David almost. The singer who once slotted in for the most sultry songs but is now best known for his amazing Instagram performances. By the way, be sure to read this piece briefly, with 30 reasons why you should follow him. Laugh out loud with sound guaranteed. Finally, two ladies who miss no opportunity to show themselves naked to the world. Personally, I don't understand shit about this, but fine, Nicki Minaj loves it. The other is Heidi Klum. Jaha you are blessed with a gorgeous body but does it always have to be shown off so fake subtly? Anyway, the selfie, how was life ever without it. Already looking forward to next year.
