7 ways to fake a good night's sleep
If there’s a good party on the agenda tonight, you really don’t have to be afraid of the day-after. With these tips, no one will see that you haven’t closed an eye. Hangover tips that aside, because this is also quite nice for a weekday.
1. Roll-on. Most roll-ons contain caffeine, which, like a cup of coffee, provides a refreshing effect. Puffy eyes become less pronounced and the skin under the eyes also immediately looks much brighter.
Even-better dark circles corrector, € 44, Clinique
2. Eye primer. You can use the roller to create the refreshing effect, but dark spots won’t disappear like snow in the sun right away. With a primer, you ensure that the skin feels soft and that the color is balanced with the rest of your skin.
Eye primer, € 18.95, Collistar via Douglas
3. Concealer. Don’t miss it. This should actually be a standard item in your bag, because throughout the day it doesn’t hurt to touch up the skin under your eyes a bit. You cover up spots and often add a kind of glow, making it always look very fresh. With a primer (see point 2), it also stays on much better. So first work out the steps for this.
Double wear stay in place concealer, € 26, Estee Lauder via Douglas
4. Blue or pink eyeshadow. Hmm, blue might sound a bit strange, but blue is for you. It really brightens up your eyes. If you’re not such a fan of blue, you can also go for soft pink . But I’ll say it one more time, blue is really a hot topic this winter.
Ombre Solo eyeshadow, color: satin silver, YSL via Douglas
5. Curl your lashes, because mascara on uncurled lashes doesn’t give the effect you want to achieve: big eyes. So curl them.
Eyelash curler, € 5.95, Douglas
6. Black is also just so standard. So choose a different color for your lashes. Purple really suits all eye colors, brown especially and burgundy color also works surprisingly well.
Mascara, color burgundy, € 24.95, Collistar via Douglas
7. If everything fails, you can always reach for the red lipstick . No one will look at your eyes anymore with a good, bright color.
L’absolu Rouge, € 32.95, Lancôme via Douglas
