Hazjar previously secured a spot in our Look of the Day, but today we are asking her a lot of fun beauty questions. She is the PR manager for brands like Givenchy and Kenzo and is also a beauty herself, so we were quite curious about her rituals and favorite products.
Morning ritual
“The first thing I do in the morning when I get up is cleanse and care for my face and neck. That wakes me up right away! I use the skincare line from KenzoKi. First, I wash my face with the Gentle Cleansing Lotus Mousse, which is just like whipped cream! I massage my face with it and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. After that, I use the Melt-in Moisturizing Lotion, a very soft and fresh lotion. The Lotus caress to moisturize eyes helps my puffy eyes disappear, and I finish my morning ritual with Belle de jour cream. The latter is both a day and night cream, which is ideal.’
Make-up Musthaves
“I have a lot of makeup, but I actually always use the products that are in my ‘daily toiletry bag’. For foundation, I use a product that is actually a base product (a product for under your foundation); Givenchy Acti’mine no. 5. This one is so natural because it evens out your skin and gives it a healthy look. Givenchy Noir Couture mascara makes my lashes long, black, and full. On my lower lash line, I apply a black line with Givenchy Magic Kajal. I love a glow on my cheeks, and for that, I use Benefit High Beam in the color pink. Since my makeup look is quite natural, I often use a lipstick in a bright color; Givenchy Le rouge has beautiful bright colors and is also a super cool product in your handbag, as the casing of the lipstick is made of leather!”
Nail polish
“I change my nail polish very often; I love bright colors but also pastel shades and often match the color to my outfit. Right now, I’m wearing a candy-pink nail polish from the spring/summer look of Givenchy.”
Eyebrows or lashes
“I really can’t choose! Eyebrows determine everything; I see an immediate difference when I just had my eyebrows waxed. I have my eyebrows waxed at the Benefit Brow bar in Parfumerie Douglas on Kalverstraat in Amsterdam; these are real pros, and I definitely trust them with my eyebrows. I really can’t do without my Noir Couture mascara; I love very black lashes, and Noir Couture takes care of that.”
Million Dollar Tip
“KenzoKi Fresh Lotus water; a lovely refreshing spray for your face and body. I always have one in my car and on my desk at the office. When I go to the beach, I put the spray in my cooler, then it’s extra cold.”
Favorite perfume
“At the moment, my favorite perfume is Oud Flamboyant from Givenchy l’Atelier, which is an exclusive collection from Givenchy that is only available in limited quantities. But I also use my all-time favorite Kenzo Amour and Mon Jasmin Noir L’eau Exquise from Bvlgari.”
Undiscovered beauty product
“I think it’s really cool that you can also create beautiful curls with a straightener; so you actually buy a straightener and curling iron in one. I’ve had many straighteners, but my current one from GHD is my favorite, really a recommendation!”
Never leave home without
“There are a few beauty products that are always in my bag; deodorant from Dove, a perfume; at the moment Ange ou Demon Le Secret from Givenchy, nail polish remover from Kruidvat, and Le Rouge lipstick.”
Her must-do
“I wash my hair once a week; a hairdresser once told me, “Your hair is like a pair of jeans, the more you wash it, the more faded it gets,” and I’ve remembered that! My favorite shampoo is the Moisture Velvet from Shu Uemura; then I use the conditioner. Because I blow-dry and straighten my hair, I always use a serum; at the moment, I’m using a serum from CHI, which makes your hair wonderfully soft and smells so nice.”
