For the premiere of season 4 of Game of Thrones, Carice van Houten flew to New York. Not alone. In the company of her love Kees van Nieuwkerk but especially with The Dress. A strapless fitted bodice with a flowing skirt that falls to mid-calf. So Dior and so stunning that Natalie Portman could get a squint from jealousy.

Carice is now a habitué in the Game of Thrones tradition. Where she first had to get used to the grandeur of the set (“There are sometimes 200 people walking around, which is quite intimidating,” she said after her first season) but now everyone, from actor to crew, knows that Carice is a lot less intimidating than her character Melisandre. The question remains; how would ‘duh’ sound in English?
