We take a look inside the bag of Vivian Reijs, TV presenter, healthy lover and nutrition coach. Her friends often rummage through her bag for a piece of (healthy!) chocolate or an energy bar, because she always has something tasty with her. She has quite a few designer bags in her closet, her most beautiful purchase is from Chanel.
Every year I go shopping in London for a weekend with my mother. Five years ago she gave me a blue Marc Jacobs bag. She is really a bag freak and loves to pamper me. I saw the bag at Harrods in the Marc by Marc Jacobs section. The youth line of MJ. I really get happy from a beautiful bag. I wouldn't just buy one at Hema. I really want quality.
Because I take my bag everywhere, it already looks a bit vintage, but I like that. I prefer a vintage look and a bit sporty over a very fancy bag. You will never see me with a Hermès. Besides this Marc Jacobs, I also like to carry a Zadig and Voltaire bag, but my best by ever is this one from Chanel. Also from my dear mother.
When I get home, I immediately throw it in a corner. Careless actually. But it looks quite nice.
I am really a collector, so it's a mess in my bag. There are about eight lip glosses (juicy tubes from Lancome) lying around and some pens, toothpicks, my makeup bag, a notebook, wallet, and sometimes a stray dog leash. I always have something to eat in my bag. Elite oats, a go green bar, or my own chocolate. My friends know that I have something tasty with me, so they often rummage through my bag. I also often have tea bags from Simon Levelt with me.
Later when my daughter is a bit older and the bag is still usable, I will of course give it to her. Soon I will go to London again and I am looking forward to treating myself to a new bag.
