Carolien’s dream premiere

Yesterday was the long-awaited premiere of Toscaanse Bruiloft. The entire day was fully planned with appointments for the dress, hair, and makeup. I left the house fully dressed when suddenly it came pouring down the heavens. I didn’t go to Tuschinski in typical Dutch fashion — by bike — but rather chicly by taxi with my fiancé.

It was such a party to see the entire cast again. Led by Johan Nijenhuis, the cast took to the red carpet to talk to the press. I wore a beautiful Ghimells dress. I still had goosebumps and purple lips when I went inside despite the long sleeves. And when I saw Lieke van Lexmond’s beautiful gown, I couldn’t help but think of my own wedding dress…

After the premiere, the entire cast was stuffed in a car and sent to RTL Late Night. Sophie van Oers wore a Monique Collignon dress that was so voluminous that she practically needed a car of her own.
After the broadcast we decided to continue the premiere party at Bar Americain. Despite the busy schedule and the many interviews, this was by far the most fun premiere, especially thanks to the great and crazy cast. I’d say: let’s have a Toscaanse Bruiloft part 2 this summer!
