The biggest scandals of 2014
We can definitely call 2014 the year of the hackers, because through hacking and leaks, quite a few spicy and embarrassing matters came to light. We summarize the biggest scandals of the year.
1. Bill Cosby
They say where there's smoke, there's fire, and with Bill Cosby, things are now quite on fire. Since a young actress accused the The Cosby Showactor of having abused her years ago, a bunch of women have come forward, including former supermodel Janice Dickinson, who claim to have been assaulted, raped, and often drugged by the legendary father figure. Bill Cosby, who until recently enjoyed an impeccable reputation and great respect, tried to ignore the rumors, but the stories keep coming, and so Bill will likely remain embroiled in the ever-growing scandal well into 2015.
2. The Fappening
The phones of dozens of world-famous women were hacked by an organization called The Fappening, and very intimate privateépictures of ladies like Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton appeared on the internet.
3. The Carter-Knowles family in the elevator
It was the most exciting silly movie we had seen in ages; the security camera footage of Solange Knowles attacking her brother-in-law Jay in an elevator in the presence of her sister. The true nature of the argument has never become clear, but we know for sure; every house has its cross to bear. Even queen Bey's house.
4. Dave Roelvink in the hot tub
While Dries Roelvink already had a questionable reputation, son Dave made his father look like a decent boy when it came out that Dave filmed a girl pleasing him in the hot tub with some friends at an afterparty, reportedly also robbing half the house afterward. It doesn't get much fancier than that.
5. 7th Heaven’s Stephen Collins
Anyone who can remember the series 7th Heaven about the pastor's family knows that little sweeter and more moralistic TV has been made than that. The revelation that the pious pastor and family man couldn't keep his hands off little girls in real life was all the more shocking.
6. Waylon and Ilse DeLange
They were our national heroes. They did so well and had such chemistry. Shortly after the dream of The Common Linnets Ilse DeLange and Waylon came true at the Eurovision Song Contest, Waylon disappeared for a while, and there was an irreconcilable break between the Linnets. “It was the darkest period of my life,’ said Ilse DeLange.
7. Sony hacks
It was said to involve North Korean hackers who, in protest against the release of the film The Interview (about an assassination attempt on Kim Jong-Un), hacked the emails of high studio executives at Sony Pictures and published spicy correspondence in which Angelina Jolie was called a ‘spoiled brat with minimal talent.’.
8. Bruce Jenner
Bruce is already making a bid to land on the list of biggest scandals of 2015, because we are far from done discussing the mysterious transformation that the Olympic champion is undergoing – he has long ombre locks, was spotted with both a French manicure and a bright pink nail polish, and is rumored to be planning breast augmentation.
