5 fun apps to cook with
Sunday. For many, a day when a call is made to a courier for a bite to eat. Not a big deal, kijk hier I once wrote about the best home delivery dinners. You know me, they are all healthy. Maybe you had already decided to order Chinese tonight. Now I must honestly admit that I also wouldn't say no to a mega hamburger (with cheese) or a party of roti, because yesterday I celebrated my birthday and it was quite a party.
Well, you probably already have dinner plans for today, but I'm going to share some handy cooking apps with you that help inspire what to put on the table. How often do I stand in the supermarket wondering: what on earth am I going to make tonight? Yes seriously, I have that quite often. Here they come:
Ikoken soups
Yesterday I received the absolute best supersonic hand blender from my friends (it was really high on my list), so I will be making quite a few soups, pestos, tapenades, and tomato sauce in the coming days. This app gives you many different recipes for soup. I mainly make it when I eat alone. It's very quick to prepare and then I make a big pot for a few days. Also nice for lunch, by the way.
24 Kitchen
This television program, where 24 hours a day (duh) cooking shows can be seen, is also preferably on at my place 24 hours a day. There is now also a really nice app where you receive a new recipe every afternoon. The instructions are always very simple and often there is also a small instructional video included. It's always a healthy meal and there's a good mix of fish, meat, and vegetarian. The shopping list is made for you and when you put an ingredient in your basket, you can also check it off in your app. Yes sorry, I find that fun.
100 healthy recipes with 3 ingredients
For all recipes, you only need three ingredients (besides salt, pepper, and olive oil). Look, don't expect to cook up a storm with it, but this is mainly for quick and healthy meals. Wraps, salads, and egg dishes for example.
Green Kitchen
The name says it all. Healthy vegetarian recipes. Carrot cake made with oatmeal, skinny pasta, salad with grilled vegetables, light lasagna. It is a bit of an expensive app, namely €4.49, but then you have hundreds of recipes, fun videos, and with each recipe, you don't have to worry about your figure. Also not unimportant, right?
Jamie’s 20 minutes meals
Jamie, my great love. He has never disappointed me with a recipe, everything is always so delicious. On this app there are meals that can be made in 20 minutes. Well, Jamie can make this in 20 minutes, I cannot. He obviously has a gigantic kitchen, the best equipment, and the right swing while cooking. He does everything in a snap while I sometimes spend hours looking for a nutmeg grater, not paying attention and burning the onions, or realizing that I didn't have any stock cubes at home. All not a disaster, but just assume that not every meal is necessarily ready in 20 minutes. It is all incredibly delicious.
