I try to cook at home as much as possible. But well, it really does happen sometimes. When you bike home around half past seven with a roaring hunger, it's no fun to first bike to the supermarket, and then have to think about what you feel like eating. Moreover, you run the risk of eating that bag of nuts on the bike after visiting the store, so that you actually don't really need to eat anymore. But you know that those nuts are of course not a real meal, so in the end, you just go ahead and cook, and around nine o'clock, you're sitting with your plate on your lap. That can all happen, and it happens to me regularly. But when you come home late, it can also be very.very.tasty. to just have the dinner of the evening delivered at home.

I give you my favorite (healthy!) addresses.

SLA

The most delicious freshly made salads. With loads of vegetables and delicious dressings. My favorite is leaf spinach with red lentils, kohlrabi, baby carrots, cauliflower, and falafel balls. Really delicious. Do check their site carefully. They only deliver for certain postal codes in Amsterdam.

MARLEEN KOOKT

Got guests, but actually have too little time to prepare a healthy meal? No panic. Go (a day in advance!) to marleenkookt.nl and see what's on the menu. I will tell you, it's always delicious. Everything is freshly prepared in her own kitchen and everything is as organic as possible. The dishes are brought by really nice students. The food comes in beautiful dishes that you can put straight in the oven and then on the table. The next time you order from Marleen again, you return the dishes. Or someone comes to pick them up earlier.

CIRO

As if you're sitting at a real Italian. The pizzas have a thin crust, are crispy, and super freshly topped. I prefer the Super Bianco. A crispy base with mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and basil. Simple, so tasty.

SOYTASTY

Sushi, it costs a bit, but I really think this is the best place in town. You can almost wake me up for it. The Ebi Furai Uramaki is definitely in my order. That means, I just ask on the phone: ‘that sushi with fried shrimp in it please’. Oh yes, and as a starter edamame, those are soybeans. A super healthy snack.
