Brazil, Ipanema Beach. Marc Jacobs celebrated his birthday at the Fasano Hotel and used the famous beach for a healthy dose of seeing and being seen.
Dress code
Swim trunks with room to pitch a tent, a well-maintained body, boy candy a la ex-boyfriend Harry Louis, and of course a complete comic book of tattoos. Yes, that is indeed SpongeBob SquarePants and a scene from Poltergeist. Fashionable irony, of course.

“This trip was a disaster,” says Marc in W. “I turned fifty, so it didn’t count. That’s why I immediately booked a new vacation. St. Barts, this time. Beach house with marble floors, very strange. The dog didn’t like it at all.”
