This is an emotional episode of Destination Killerbody because it is the second-to-last. Yes really, next Wednesday we have our last boxing lesson and then we will stop. But okay, I will save the real emotions for next week when it officially is the last one and keep it dry for now and look back on last week.

– We started Tuesday with a training full of squats, lunges, and other exercises that left me with quite intense muscle pain until at least Friday afternoon and my butt was on fire 24/7. To be honest, it always feels pretty good, like you really accomplished something.

– Wednesday was not really my day. We had boxing class and I don't know how it happened but I was totally not into it. Do you know that feeling? That you feel fine but every punch you throw just doesn't make sense. Luckily, Jet was in top form so I quickly decided that I was doing better behind the camera that day and made a whole series of videos that Jet can now send to people if she wants to threaten them. (Just kidding, sort of.)

– This Thursday I have my very last exam EVER so you will see me a bit less on the site next week. Since last Thursday I have been hiding in the UB (University Library) and will stay there for the rest of the week buried in books. I'm typing this from the UB now, hello! If you're near the Koningsplein in Amsterdam, definitely give me a shout, I could use some distraction. Studying is notorious for being accompanied by bad eating. Bags of candy, rolls of cookies, and whatnot, out of pure self-pity I always like to stuff myself completely during exam periods. But in this case, not, because about 12 hours after I put down my exam pen, I will be getting in the car to Italy where I want to strut around fit and slim in a bikini on the beach.

– Last Thursday I was at my great friend Taco Stuiver from 1027 for the presentation of John Masters products, more on that soon. One glass of wine after another came by and soon I had to sit with Jet on the terrace of George WPA. You get it, I get it. So there we were, one bottle of white wine and two bottles of water (!), steak tartare (very healthy) and hours of chatting about love, life, and everything in between.

– By the way, this week we also received a big box at the editorial office containing three pairs of Saucony sneakers! In bright red with flashy stripes, ideal for running. Jet and Joss ran on them with great pleasure, I just enjoyed working out with them because running (cardio in general) is not for me.

– Jet's grandmother turned 80 this week and that obviously calls for a celebration. Of course, there was cake, but also delicious Italian food. Small bites, grilled fish, lots of vegetables, scropino (“duuuh”) and cake. But I already mentioned that. When I text her this morning asking what she is doing, she tells me she is at the local gym. Say what?! That is dedication to the destination.

– And now as I write this, I am in that damn UB. The Albert Heijn across the street is loudly proclaiming how delicious the cookies are but I am staying strong and holding it together.

– Tuesday and Wednesday we have our last trainings, we will definitely continue to exercise but in a different form. We will tell you more about that later. For now, enjoy Sunday, the sun, the football, and definitely take a cookie for and on my behalf.

– Until next week!
