After the short announcement last week, it is now really happening: this is the last Destination Killerbody. Last Wednesday we had our final training and from now on we have to do it ourselves. With mixed feelings. Our trainer has become quite a fixed part of our existence in those three months and we really find it very sad that we won't see him weekly anymore. There were often moments during training when we paused for a story from the past, current frustrations, problems in other areas, discussing drunken nights or just for a random chat moment. We are really going to miss him.
But there are also positive sides. We no longer have to get up three times a week at 07:00 and believe me, that is a godsend. There are probably people reading this who think, “Jesus child, what are you complaining about, I always get up at 07:00 every day,” but let me put it this way, Jet and I are less used to it. What drove us completely crazy was the hauling of stuff. We went to training without showering or anything, from there we cycled to the office, and at the office (we have a shower there) it was showering, getting dressed, putting on makeup, etc. But that does mean that we both had to organize a small migration every morning and with sports clothes, boxing gloves, work clothes, laptop, possible changing clothes for an evening program, and if you, like me, sort of live in two houses, you also have to bring a set of clothes for the next day. It’s enough to drive you crazy.
And now for the last time, the week in points.
– On Wednesday we focused a lot on doing exercises that we can also do well at home. Jet will post a set of those exercises on the site every week, so you can join in too. – At the time of writing, it is Sunday morning and I am looking out over long rolling vineyards, Tuscan cypress trees, and I hear countless invisible crickets rubbing their legs together for that typical crackling sound. I am on vacation, in Tuscany. I am sitting at a table with the sun on my back and will stay here for the next two weeks. I intended to bring a jump rope and mat but I forgot that. Oops.
I intended to bring a jump rope and mat but I forgot that. Oops.
– When I return to the Netherlands, Jet and I will sign up at David Lloyd, the big gym at the end of the Amsterdam Overtoom. They have a swimming pool, saunas, dozens of classes, and it’s just around the corner from the Amayzine Headquarters, so that’s ideal. I am really looking forward to things like Pilates and yoga and I’m also really looking forward to swimming. Jet wants to explore spinning and the weight room because.
as Carlos Lens told us, , that’s where it has to happen. Furthermore, she has decided to participate in a half marathon, so the running route will be repeated more often than ever., – Jet really wants to start with the protein powders. At first, we didn’t dare because we heard from various sources that it caused pimples, but Carlos Lens assured us that this is not the case. Any more people with an opinion on this? Please do let us know!.
“Three months ago I really had a BUTT and now it’s a backside.”
“– By the way, Jet is quite satisfied with the result, ”you’re never really satisfied.” Especially “because three months ago I had a BUTT and now I have a backside.”
– I am actually very medium satisfied, in the sense that I see far too little change in my body and still don’t walk around carefreely in a bikini. What has exceeded my expectations is that I enjoy exercising and especially that I have become very aware of what I eat. No more just white bread, but a lot of spelt and crackers. Replacing yogurt with soy yogurt, a lot of fruit, a lot of greens, really a lot healthier.“
– What was of course also a big part of this Destination was the Innerwave detox. 17 days of detoxing, of which 7 days of juices, it was quite a challenge. But successfully, so in December we have another detox course planned. Good news, you can join us! We are going to give away one whole Innerwave package. So with all the powders, supplements, and whatnot included. Check our Facebook page for what you need to do.
– All in all, it was an amazing adventure. We move forward with good courage and someday, someday, we will really have a killer body. Goodbye dear people!.
