She may be 67 but Diane von Furstenberg’s the first to embrace new trends.

During our last meeting, she was literally sitting on her mobile phone. “I’m not very fond of ringing, but the way the world presents itself on social media is fabulous.” The grand dame said to me before posting a selfie on Instagram.

Two years ago, Diane von Furstenberg embraced the phenomenon of the Google Glass and wore them preceding her show during New York Fashion Week. Literally from her point of view can we see how her day looked like. Incredible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30Pjl31cyDY (it starts a bit messy, but after four seconds it quickly becomes grand).

The powerful forces behind the Google Glass have also succeeded in making a copy with prescription lenses and together with DvF they launched the DvF Google Glasses. Diane’s design combined with Google’s expertise and also on prescription.

It retails for 1725 dollars (is €1267). Admittedly, it’s a bit of an amount but the possibilities are endless. Google even tries to enable Google Glass to park your car for you. Which warrants quite a lot, wouldn’t you agree?
