The empty bottles thrown away, all glasses rinsed and the office that just a few days ago was a steaming disco, smells of green soap. It was Monday and the week started again.
No deadline for us for a while digital magazine, no party, just us and the site. And quite a lot of visits outside, because the PR agencies held their press days so it was Luxottica on the left, SO-PR on the right and Jet was also briefly flown in for two days to Berlin to test the very latest suits and sports shoes from Nike.
On Tuesday I picked up one of my three girls for a visit to PC. After her first manicure last week, she was ready for a luxury shopping trip. Danie Bles organized a get-together in the Ugg store and it was really nice. Cara Schiffelers was there with her son Santo, Leco with his Robbie, Saskia van Langevelde from Vogue and Renate Gerschtanowitz was also there.
My girl was especially impressed by the cupcakes with Ugg boots made of marzipan on top and I enjoyed being photographed with her by Reinier van der A. On the way back, the little princess asked for pasta from Renzo’s, that delicious Italian on Van Baerlestraat. When I turned the ring, she was already in dreamland. With a smooth motion, I got the passenger seat of the Twingo into sleep mode.
That pasta could wait until the next day. Too many impressions.
Child placed in my mother's arms and off we went back to a Coebergh dinner where a super nice Lebanese was cooking the most delicious food ever live. The table was filled with friends from the industry: Simone Dernee from Marie Claire, Kiki Düren from NU.nl, stylist Bastiaan van Schaik, Martien Mellema from Vogue and I even made new friends.
After two ‘ordinary days at the office’, Friday started with a breakfast organized by Shoebaloo. We celebrated their life-threatening, completely renewed website. Yoghurt granola, a petite bottle of Moët and an illustration of myself were waiting for me. The weekend has officially started as far as I'm concerned. Cheers!
