Look, I love running. Sweating like a pig in the gym gives me a huge boost of happiness, but I really don't always feel like starting. Lazy, tired, or hungover. But with this gear, I always feel like it right away.
Fancy water bottle
Of course, you can refill a plastic bottle from the supermarket a few times, but this bottle from Lorna Jane looks much nicer and is also very handy. On one side, you squeeze a lemon, and on the other side, you fill the bottle with water. Lemon water is good for digestion, has a cleansing effect, and quenches thirst.
Music
No run I do without music. In fact, if I forget my earbuds at the office, I refuse to jog. It's so incredibly boring without music. These Skullcandy earbuds come in all colors and have a cute little skull on the earbud.
App
Here I've written a post about it before. Fun apps that motivate you to exercise. You can see exactly what you need to do and get a cheerful motivation or a little music when you're doing well. It's also handy that all your achieved results are saved so you can see what you've done.
Shaker
When you're done with your workout, your body needs to be refueled. I work out early in the morning, so I'm always a bit stressed before I finally get to the office. Biking home, showering, getting dressed, having breakfast. I have to get all that done within 40 minutes. In this handy shaker, there's also a to-go cup. Put all the ingredients in, mix it up, put the lid on the cup, and you're done.
Yoga mat
Yoga is trendy stuff. You need to be early in the classroom to score a good spot. Usually, there are mats you can borrow, but there's a good chance that at least fifty others have already used them. For hygiene, you can put your own towel underneath, but even better is having your own yoga mat. You can buy them in the cutest colors or even one from Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Hermès.
Nike Fuelband
Liesbeth and I once had a competition to see who could get the most fuels in a day. (a number of movements gives you one fuel). I took that quite seriously, so I did an extra round in Vondelpark in the evening to win. This bracelet keeps track of how much you move in a day. You can set a goal for yourself, and now and then you get a beep when you need to get moving.
