The secret of the perfect scarf

Whether it's 30 degrees or 10 degrees freezing, I always have a scarf on. I don't trust people who brave the winter without a scarf; without a scarf, I'm frozen to death after 10 meters. But finding the perfect scarf is very precise, and I can spend endless time on it. Recently, I bought a fairly perfect scarf from Acne but even that, I dare to say, is actually just not perfect enough. It is too small; I like my scarves Very Very Huge. However, last winter I discovered something that solved the scarf problem forever, and because I'm in a good mood, I'm going to share the secret with you.

You need to stop looking for a scarf and start hunting for a plaid. That’s right, a blanket for your couch. It's so simple but so brilliant (just giving myself a little pat on the back here) because a plaid is always very large and thick and therefore warm. That big thing I'm wearing in the photos above? It's from H&M Home. I took it to New York Fashion Week last February (where it was a pleasant 10 degrees below zero) and it was a hit; street style photographers all wanted to know where I bought it because oh my gooooosh it’s like soooo super amazing like oh my gosh!

So that's the trick. The secret. The solution. Go to Ikea, H&M Home, Zara Home, or any other home store and dive into the plaids. Drape and wrap until you find it hanging nicely, pay for it, and be just as satisfied and warm as I am.
