My friends‘ group WhatsApp has been going on for days about ’where are we going to watch football'. When the Netherlands plays, that other stuff doesn't really interest us. We're all going to eat beforehand and reserve a spot early for a screen. Even though our lives don't depend on such a match, we are quite enthusiastic. Probably every café has a TV on, but there's a good chance you won't be able to see it well. Here are some nice places where you can be sure to follow everything well. Enjoy the match!
Amsterdam
Westergastterras has a large terrace with a giant screen. You can also enjoy a nice meal beforehand.
Hanneke’s Boom
Lovely by the water, always a very cozy atmosphere and there are plenty of seating spots.
Haarlem
On the big market, there is a large screen at XO, a tap always within reach and many people in orange. Probably.
Café de Studio was once a cinema and is now a huge brown pub. So, a big screen.
Maastricht
On the recommendation of Carolien Spoor, De Tribunal is a wonderfully nice place with many enthusiastic viewers.
Rotterdam
Bar bar broadcasts extensive football. That means big screens and liters of beer. Or wine or whatever.
