Xelly Cabau van Kasbergen, indeed the sister of, is one of the most popular makeup artists in our country. Of course, her sister often calls on her for a shoot, but Sylvie and Danie also like to be made a little prettier by Xelly. What does she do herself to keep looking radiant and what does she do to appear with a glow on a red carpet? Fortunately, she had some time for us in her busy schedule. 

Morning ritual

My morning always starts with a kiss for my boyfriend, no cream can compare to my glow because of this. Then I massage my skin with sparkling clean face wash from Bergman. I do this with a very handy soft brush from Shiseido. For cream, I use Advanced Night Repair Serum from Estee Lauder. I also use eye cream from the same brand. On top of that, I often apply a day cream from Bergman and of course a good SPF.

Eyebrows or lashes

I am really fond of Cara Delevingne's eyebrows. Nice and full. Although this is not for everyone and every moment, I am a big fan.

Lashes should of course not be left behind. They need to be well curled.

Red carpet essential

On the red carpet, you have to shine. Really shine. I always use a nice glow for my cheekbones from MAC deposit or soleil tan de Chanel glow. For total shine on the body, I like to use Huile Prodigieuse from Nuxe. It gives at the same time a bit of tanning. Perfect!

Unexpected beauty tool

A skin-colored kohl pencil if I look a bit tired.

Laura Mercier secret camouflage, this foundation/concealer is a bit more matte, and ideal for recordings or shoots for people who shine a bit faster.

Favorite nail polish

I often wear gel polish, which lasts at least two weeks. Since I often wash and disinfect my hands for work, this is very handy. Regular nail polish doesn't stay on well otherwise. I usually have the colors light pink or nude. If I don't have gel polish, I always apply a transparent gloss. Then it still looks well-groomed.

For my work, I always have all the colors of the rainbow with me! You never know, I love it.

Favorite perfume

At the moment, that is Bella by Battaglia. A wonderfully fresh scent.

Never leave home without

My blush no. 76 Frivole from Chanel, eyelash curler, deodorant, perfume, toothbrush, and gum or mints, very important, especially with my work!

Don't tell anyone but…

When I get home, I prefer to put my hair in a bun, wear my tracksuit, have a cup of tea with a slice of lemon in it, and watch Gossip Girl or Breaking Bad in the DVD player.
