Ready for a vacation?
HERE'S HOW TO GO ABOUT IT
Every day I start with a round of Checking What Happened On The Internet. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Daily Mail, Nu.nl, and Bloglovin are a regular routine. But also a website that shows me the best flight ticket deals every day, complete with large mouth-watering photos. And that's what I wanted to talk about, because not only that site (I'll reveal which one it is shortly) but also the KLM World Deal Weeks have kept me in suspense for a while. This week it went live and I can make a sport out of considering EVERY ticket and then also see how much more expensive it is if I were to go with other airlines. Anyway, I'm quite neurotic. But however it may be, planning a vacation is such a goddamn great pleasure. Research even showed that people enjoy planning their vacation more than actually experiencing it, just saying. Therefore today, some online addresses that you definitely should not skip while planning, booking, and searching for your vacation.
1. Paperflies.com
Tadadadada that's it! You can search for all tickets there, but they also offer daily deals departing from Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, and Brussels. Ideal if you want to get away but aren't sure where to go. That's how I found a ticket to Ho Chi Minh for 500 euros last September and decided, that's where I'm going to celebrate Christmas and New Year's. So Paperflies, bookmark it and never forget it.
2. Geniusflight.com
At least as brilliant as my friends from Paperflies but just a bit different in setup. Here’s the first question: how much do you want to spend on a ticket? You enter the amount, the dates you (approximately) want to go, and the site spits out a whole list of destinations that fit your budget. Ideal!
3. Airbnb.com
Cannot be missing from a list like this. I LOVE Airbnb. No more hotels (well sometimes then) and just enjoy my ‘own’ house. Also very nice to dream away with. Just looking at a palace like this makes me happy. Or what do you think of this, or this? Or this! Anyway, I could go on for hours and hours about this.
4. unlike.net
By far my favorite site to prepare for city trips. Divided into places to shop, do cultural activities, eat, and sleep. All beautiful and nice places, pick something blindly and you’ll always be good.
