Move over Kim and Kanye

Here come George and Amal

He has admittedly, researched long, wide and eagerly, but George has now found himself a gorgeous specimen. The Italians have accepted him as one of their own and are super happy with his choice, thanks to George having a home on Lake Como, and, eh how do I say this politely, having had an intimate relationship with a large number of the population.

In two days time, The Italian Vacation period begins and not much gets done barring walking to the beach with a cool-box, having lunch and strolling back. Or having a read of the Chi, Gente, Dipiù, or Grazia magazines. One thing is for sure, Amal Alamuddin (I also had to get used to the name) is definitely cover material, because George is one of those readers, and Amal is the bomb.

Is there anything wrong? Anything?

I have that awful trait that makes me search for a weak spot if a woman is so intensely beautiful. For the self confidence factor. Horrible voice, fat ankles, bad taste. Anything. I failed. And I searched honestly. Amal is extraordinarily beautiful, intensely well- and originally clad, exceptionally intelligent and well schooled (she studied international law and works for a prominent London office where the likes of Julian Assange are defended, no small-fry thus), and has managed to get one of the best men on earth to his knees.

No squealing

The Italians love the fact that she gifts all the paparazzo with a huge smile, and doesn’t dive hysterically behind huge sunglasses, hat and paper. She has bagged the catch of the year and knows what comes along with it.

Jennifer, Angelina and Amal

It’s going to happen after Italian vacation month. On Lake Como. Amal and George are getting married. I would love to be a fly on the wall, or preferably a guest. Jennifer Aniston will bump into Angelina for the second time in her life (rumoured to have been roleplaying for months with her shrink), all George’s famous friends will be there in their Sunday best, but I am mostly curious about Amal. What will she wear, her hair, who will do her make-up, everything. I’ll stick to reading the Italian magazines for the coming time.

Over Kimye

Do you know what it is with women like Amal? You’re happy for them. She’s nice, pretty, clever and did I mention exceptionally well dressed? I’m looking forward to their wedding. Even if just to shove all that Kim and Kanye flash to the background.
