There was a time when May-Britt needed encouragement to buy a designer bag. That is no longer necessary. Today she shows her latest acquisition; the limited edition Elke week word ik ingedeeld om twee bag.

“October is the month in which I always want to give something to combat breast cancer. From this bag, €100 (of the €295) goes to Breast Health International. So, two birds with one stone, helping a good cause and getting a new treat on my arm.”
And what are they going to do with the money?
“Some things are not reimbursed when you have breast cancer. Care for your children at irregular times, for example. Or hiring someone to ensure that there is food on the table for your family and for you. Breast Health International helps women with these kinds of unforeseen costs. Such a sympathetic initiative.”
Were you immediately in love?
“I think it's a real Tommy bag. All American and no nonsense. It is practical with two pockets on the front, strong, and there is plenty of room. The tassel with leather fringes just finishes it off. I like it with a casual office look but today it can also serve as a luxury diaper bag.”
How many bags do you have, Mrs. Mobach?
“Ummm, let me count. Three Chanel bags, two Louis Vuitton, a clutch from DvF, three Tod’s bags, one Chloé, one MiuMiu, one very cute clutch from Maje and now this one. Recently, a man from the insurance company asked what value my bags had. The poor man fell off his chair.”
And what do you carry with you in a day?
“Of course my iPhone, a charging cable, my Louis Vuitton keychain with a lucky charm that I got from Danie Bles, my Chanel wallet, a beautiful farewell gift from my Marie Claire colleagues, a chestnut that my daughter found on the sidewalk this morning and proudly gave to me, a bag of bites we love, a very happy and healthy snack for when I don't have time for lunch again, my makeup, or as colleague Karen from Ede always says; ‘my face’ and of course the keys to my new boyfriend Renault Twingo.
Does a bag do something to you?
“What do you think? I had to unexpectedly (didn't put it in my agenda) attend a press dinner. I wore a casual jumpsuit but with a good heel and my matelassé over my shoulder, there was absolutely nothing wrong with my outfit.”
Is there anything on your wish list or are you actually content?
“There is no bag at the moment that keeps me restless in bed at night. But put me in the Chanel boutique for five minutes and I’m lost again.’
