For a few weeks now, a brand new bag has been on the desk of our designer Lilian. And oh dear, if someone touches it, you hear a little panic. She is a sweet owner. Marc is the name of the child and we thought it was high time to get to know him.

How many bags do you have?

“I think about twelve that I am really still very happy with. Then I also have a number of others that I never wear, but still don't want to get rid of.”

How did you get this beauty?

“My beauty is called Marc. I saw him for the first time in the Bijenkorf. Occasionally, I walk around the bag department there to look at everything that is way too expensive. Just looking gives me satisfaction. But when I saw Marc, it was actually love at first sight. He is so beautiful and I had been looking for such a bag for a long time. I hesitated for a moment, but he kept haunting my mind. So one day I went to the Bijenkorf and decided to start a relationship with him. I haven't regretted it yet.”

And how about the contents, are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?

“I am really a nerd about that. I get really upset if my bag is a mess. In general, I get upset quickly if there is a mess somewhere. In this bag, it's not that hard to make a mess. It's not that big. I put my most important things in it and then it's already full.”

What are those most important things for you?

“My phone, wallet, keys, lip balm, and I always have something like a cookie. On a good day, I also have my phone charger with me. I usually forget that.”

Does it have a special place in the house or do you throw it in the corner?

“No, certainly not, I am very careful with it. When I come in, it stands neatly on a dining chair. I always place it there very carefully.‘

What do you think a bag does for a woman?

“What doesn't, I would say. I think a bag can make a simple outfit very stylish. If you have a good bag, you're immediately good to go. You often see that with shoes too. Bags and shoes can completely elevate your outfit.”

Do you prefer trendy or classic bags? And should a bag also be practical?

“A mix of everything. I find classic models super beautiful, but they can also be trendy at the same time. A bag doesn't have to be practical for me, as I already have a separate bag for my laptop.”

And lastly, is there one on your wishlist?

“Plenty! If we're talking about trends, the black CHANEL Boy Bag.

A bright color also seems really cool to me, but I don't know if I dare to do that. What if I get tired of it, and such an expense can only happen a few times in my life.”
