I am a bit jealous of Nina from the Spijker. Her office is located in the Conservatorium Hotel. But well, that makes sense if you work in the marketing & communication department. Anyway, I would always take a dive in the pool after work or a massage in the spa. No idea if that's allowed or not, ahem. Such a position naturally comes with a nice bag and today I ask Nina what’s inside.

How many bags do you have?
“Too much because I don’t use more than half of it! I have three that I use alternately, all three black leather. Still my favorite color...”

How did you get this beauty?
“This bag comes from a small boutique in Antwerp that I always have to visit when I’m back in Antwerp. And I always succeed, from evening bags to shoppers, they have everything I like.”

What does a bag do for a woman?
“I’m so glad I’m a woman, as a man I wouldn’t know where to put my belongings. So first of all, the bag is just super functional! Besides, it’s also a status symbol, when I walk into a store with my Pradatas, I’m treated very differently than when I’m lugging around my Zaratas..”

What about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?
“Chaotic, I always want to put everything neatly in my bag but since I’m always short on time, everything ends up scattered. This way I’m always losing my keys and I buy a new labello almost every week, just because it’s somewhere in one of my three bags in a side pocket..”

What do you always carry in your bag?
“The standard package: keys, mobile, notebook, lipstick (pink and red), labello, hand cream and of course my wallet. Additionally, you can always find a collection of rubber bands, clips, mints and that sort of thing in my bag.”

If a woman could only have one bag, which would it be?
“Oh that’s tricky, but I think it will be this one, because it’s good for any occasion and fits a lot.”

Do you prefer trendy or classic? And does a bag also need to be practical?
“I’m going for the classics, even with a trendy outfit a nice classic bag completes the look.”

And lastly, is there another one on your wishlist? Which one?
“Yes, of course! Chanel, the one from May-Britt (the small classic flap bag).”
