SIZZLING SUMMER
– The make-up collection from Chanel –
The week started well at Amayzine HQ. The sun was shining and a package was delivered. Not just any package, no, a bag with two black C's on it and a content that made many on our editorial team shine. May and I beamed at the cheerful pink toiletry bag and Jet was incredibly jealous. She didn't know at that time that I had also received a toiletry bag. There were actually two packages delivered.
Alright, onto the contents. The summer collections from Chanel always have a particularly cheerful vibe, but this is as if the sun is captured in every product hidden in that toiletry bag. The colors are vibrant and on a brown skin they really come into their own.
Summer on the eyes
For the eyes, there are bronze, copper, and lavender with a nice shine in them. For a festive touch, finish it off with a purple or orange mascara. Maybe not the whole eye, as that can be a bit much, but adding it to the tips gives a special look. It's waterproof so you can lie on the beach and take a dip without walking back to your beach bed looking like a panda.
Polishes in sweet colors
With colors on the eyes, there are also colors for the nails. Bright summer shades and pastel tones are reflected. With colors like Tutti Frutti and Mirabella, you probably already have an idea. The colors orange, bright pink, and grapefruit are like sweet candies. The surprise might be the Eastern Light. A white, matte polish that you can of course wear alone or in combination with those fun summer colors. Chanel wouldn't be Chanel if a fun trend idea wasn't immediately suggested. Namely, the so-called moon idea. French Manicure 2.0. Just for that reason, you need to get those polishes as soon as possible.
Lips
They look like candy canes that you would want to eat, but they are really just lip glosses that give a color to your lips. The color in the bottle looks a bit brighter than on the lips, as it comes off transparent but shiny and fresh. Colors like hello, happy, sunny, and sexy are ones you always want to carry with you.
Let it be clear, I am in love with the collection. You probably are too. And Jet with the toiletry bag. So you know Jet, you can have it. On the condition that I see that smile on your face all summer long and for all those hundred seasons after, and on the condition that I can wrap myself in all this beauty that the collection has to offer all summer long. Let that summer last a long time then.
