Ode to Oil

If you think of oil and beauty, you probably think of a shiny and sticky mess. You shouldn't do that because oil is actually very good for skin and hair and can achieve a lot to create a healthy look. What is it all good for? I'm going to tell you.

Hydrating

You can apply whatever you want, but oil hydrates like no other. It makes the skin very soft and supple, and due to the plant-based ingredients, the skin reacts very well to it. Provided you have chosen a very natural one, otherwise your skin may react differently.

Hair mask

Do you suffer from dull hair? Or have you just dyed your hair which has made it a bit rougher? An oil can intensely nourish the hair. Let it sit for about fifteen minutes and then rinse it out very, really very well. Your hair will then shine enormously and, for example, highlights will come out much nicer.

Body scrub

An oil can also work very well as body scrub. You can make it yourself by mixing oil and coarse sea salt, but you can also buy scrub. Talasso scrub from Collistar is a nice one, for example. The sea salts do the work and remove dead skin cells, but the oil remains and hydrates the body, leaving a nice nourishing layer behind.

Make-up primer

A dry oil also works great as a base for your make-up. Of course, you shouldn't choose a greasy one, because then it will become a very shiny mess. So a dry one. This absorbs quickly into the face, nourishes enormously, and foundation and powders are absorbed more beautifully and evenly, giving you the ultimate result. If you don't like it, choose a foundation where oil is one of the main ingredients. Then you will also get a very nice shiny result.

Extra shine

Oil wouldn't be oil if it didn't give a nice shine. In that case, you don't go for the dry oil, but for an oil that absorbs beautifully into the skin but also leaves a layer of shine and glitter behind. The dry oil from Nuxe, for example, the best buy if you are in Paris contains Vitamin E ingredients that nourish and soften, but also leave a wonderfully beautiful sparkle behind. Nice for bare legs.

Goodbye dry spots

Healthy nails? That starts with the cuticles. Because those dry stripes under your nail are of no use to you at all. If you use a few drops of a good cuticle oil every morning and evening, you won't have much trouble with that. Cuticle oils contain Vitamin E that nourishes well, allowing your nails to grow neatly and beautifully.
