Gigi Bowmer is Global Make-up Artist for Estée Lauder Benelux. Since we all want to wear our best outfit and have the coolest look next week, she gives us the tips to achieve the perfect party look. Or if you have to work, to get through the day a bit more glamorous. I say: read and learn.

Simply Elegant

“Draw a line along the lash line with the black eyeliner. Smudge a bit. Apply the light shimmer eyeshadow on the moving eyelid. Choose a slightly bolder shade for the crease. Use plenty of mascara. Dab some blush on the apple of the cheek with your fingertip and choose a bold lipstick for your lips.”

Quick Glamour

“Apply the black eyeliner around and in your eye. It can be a bit bolder on the moving eyelid. It doesn't have to be very precise, as you smudge with your fingertip towards the crease. Dab a bold eyeshadow of your choice over it. Outline your eye again with the black eyeliner, especially taking the inner corner into account. Avoid thick lines.”

From party drinks to evening party?

“Distribute a drop of Advanced Night Repair over your fingertips, and tap ‘piano-playing’ over your face. It can go over the existing makeup. You will look instantly radiant and fresh.”

From work to drinks?

“Use some of the lightest shimmer eyeshadow; dab with your fingertip as a highlight above the eyebrow, on top of your cheekbone, cupid's bow, and a touch on the bridge of your nose.”

The tip to adjust your makeup throughout the day

“Do not remove your makeup. Smudge the existing eyeshadow and just work over it.”

Don't forget your eyebrows;

“Mix the right eyeshadow shades until you have the color of your eyebrows or hair and apply. Especially elongate; it opens up the face and makes it even more elegant. For a killer brow, then apply some concealer on a cotton swab with which you draw a sharp line above and below against the extended brow. This way you have 2 in 1: a highlight plus a super cool sharp brow.”
