PREMIERE FUN

When Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton, and Leslie Mann invite you to see their freshest film, you go. Even if work is crazy busy. Jet and I stumbled yesterday with still steaming laptops Inside The Building. The place where we find comfort when we need seriously good hair. Quickly scarfed down a lentil salad from Marqt and off we went in the Uber, heading to the red carpet. For the occasion, I borrowed a very nice ensemble from MaxMara. A lovely black, wide-flowing skirt. A little bit of seethrough top with a modest golden trim around the neck and wrists and a coat that brings something big out in me.

Calm on the red carpet

Because Reguliersbreestraat was closed, we were dropped off around the corner from the taxi. We struggled through a huge crowd just to reach that carpet. Where is the glamour when you need it? Once on the carpet, there was calm. Except for a battery of clicking photographers. But hey, our hair looked good and the outfit was nice. Bring on your flash.

Champagne and a lunchbox

Because Jet and I, darn it, didn’t have a box at our disposal but fell into the ‘please squeeze in’ category, we dove into the hall with champagne and all. There awaited us a lunchbox-ish something with some sandwiches and shrimp, Jan Kooijman, and three cute girls trying to liven up the time with their folkloric performance. What can I say? We were happy when Cameron, Kate, and Leslie came on stage. Let me say that.

The Cameron Party

Cameron is just as funny and original in real life as in her films. And sweet because she gave newcomer Kate Upton and Leslie Mann all the attention. I found Cameron's outfit meh. Little, short black dresses don’t belong to the star of the evening. Moreover, her knees are also forty plus. Her presence made up for a lot, though; spring dances around her.

Then the film

Romcom in the purest form. Three women, one man, revenge. That kind of thing. But styled by Patricia Field (you know, the brain behind Carrie Bradshaw's looks), the most beautiful apartments and offices in New York, witty scenes, and a funny guest role for Don Johnson. A delightful nothing-is-wrong movie with a lot of fun. In theaters from Thursday.
