Sam&Haas conquer De Bijenkorf

Yesterday, the light hall in De Bijenkorf was like a fairy tale world. Not only because nymph Katja Schuurman was walking around with her little, coquettish daughter Sammie. The fairy tale world of jewelry brand Sam&Haas was brought in with a drumroll.

The idea was established some time ago. Katja Schuurman, Bibi van der Velden, and Tara Elders wanted a jewelry line named after their daughters Sammie (from Katja and Thijs) and Hazel (from Tara and Michiel Huisman).

Katja: “Sam&Haas live in a fairy-tale world but at the same time have a serious, real message. Everyone should benefit from Sam&Haas! That’s why everything Sam and Haas create is honest and sustainable. All jewelry is made from fair silver and Fairtrade gold.”

Exactly. “As an ambassador for the Good Gold program of Solidaridad, I have personally experienced multiple times how important it is, for both people and the environment, to work with sustainable materials. With Sam&Haas, we are trying to take a step in the right direction, and I think it’s great that De Bijenkorf is collaborating with us on this.”

During the presentation, in addition to customers, there were also the proud parents of Katja, sister Birgit, and daughters Sammie and Charlie (who is Bibi's). Tara was very involved from her home in New Orleans. “Sam&Haas are quintessentially Dutch and fairy-tale-like at the same time. Mischievous with their hearts in the right place. Playful because it’s allowed and serious because it’s necessary! I am very proud that we have been able to shape the world of Sam&Haas in such a beautiful and honest way.
