This week I'm mainly drinking juices because I'm detoxing. Twice a year I want to cleanse my body and just before summer really starts, this is perfect timing, as it also helps you feel a bit more confident in your bikini. Of course, that's not the intention of a detox, but it's definitely a nice side effect. I have to disappoint you, the kilos you lose will come back. Well, it doesn't have to, but I wasn't planning to nibble on carrots and drink juices for my whole life. Eating healthy and exercising, that's when you are truly at your best. Trust me.

My shake for today. I always have spinach, kale, and avocado at home because I like that in my juice. A juice made only from fruits is packed with sugars (good sugars, mind you!) and I really can't get through the morning with that. It's just energy for a little while.

Today I made a smoothie with avocado. By the way, I could really eat those things all day long. Delicious, super healthy, and incredibly nutritious.

This is what was in my shake:

  •  I start with a generous splash of coconut water. The smartest thing is to put a juice in the blender first. Then the ingredients mix much faster and better.
  • 4 large pieces of pineapple. I always buy a whole pineapple, peel it, and cut it into small cubes. The cubes go into a tupperware container and into the fridge. Super handy, because then you can eat from it for a few days and it's also nice as a snack.
  • Half an avocado
  • A generous handful of spinach
  • Tablespoon of flaxseed (good fats and good for digestion and bowel movements)

Everything in the blender and just mix it up.
