Rodarte
Los Angeles was the great inspiration for Kate and Laura Mulleavy for the spring summer collection of Rodarte. Not strange since their empire started in LA. At the kitchen table of their parents' small apartment. It was their mother from whom they learned sewing techniques and on whose maiden name –Rodart- they inspired their label name. LA then. When you think of LA, you think of bare (because sunny), sexy (because warm), and striking (because the highest concentration of actors and party people on earth). That has worked. Almost absent shorts, wide belts loaded with studs, bra-like tops sometimes with leopard print. If you ask for my personal opinion, I would skip it once, but it’s Rodarte and then it’s quickly good. Moreover, they will surely come up with something this autumn that makes me greedy again.
