THIS IS WHAT YOU WEAR ON FATHER'S DAY

Just like Mother's Day has its own dress codes Father's Day also calls for its own outfit. We help you style-wise. Five things you need to remember.

  1. Father's Day always falls on the third Sunday in June. It's usually nice and warm then. Prepare for a picnic-in-the-park or brunch-in-the-backyard-proof look. Nice and cool but preferably with a layer in the form of a jacket or a cardigan. Looks sophisticated over the shoulders and can come in handy if a code red is suddenly issued.
  2. Your father wants to be proud of his girl. Pain points like navel piercings, ankle tattoos, and the name of your ex that so prominently adorns the inside of your wrist are better covered up today. Those Prada shoes that he still doesn't understand why you paid so much money for (shoes, SHOES) I would also leave at home. You have enough. Choose something that won't lead to discussion.
  3. Feminine is the word. Since you will also be eating (probably more and unhealthier than you like) I do recommend something loose-fitting. A flowing dress with a high neckline that falls to mid-calf is ideal.
  4. Fathers do not like vulgarities. At least not when it comes to their daughter. Keep the neckline high and the skirt long.
  5. Choose a fresh perfume. Seduction is not high on the list right now. Think fresh and sweet, a braid and a flower in your hair and you're done. And don't forget your gift!
