Living with Marilyn Monroe
It is possible! Or well, not with her (duh), but at her place. In her house. It is actually for sale. It is located in Brentwood, California and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Monroe bought the property in 1962 but could only live there for half a year because six months after the purchase she was found dead in the same house. It is probably a good investment, Marilyn bought it for $90,000,- and the current owners bought it in 2010 for $3.6 million (!). How much they are asking for it now has not been disclosed.
Can you imagine living in the house where one of the most famous women of all time lived and died? I'm not sure if her spirit is necessarily the most uplifting to have around, but still, it's cool. And then endlessly fantasizing about which other legends have visited her, what kind of romantic encounters she had there, what dark thoughts went through her mind in the last days before her death. I would immediately hire a Derek Ogilvie-type to see what stories the walls have to tell. Interested? Check the website of David Offer Real Estate and make an offer. Will you invite me for a glass of champagne during the housewarming?
