TOP 10. RICHEST CHRISTMAS SONGS
Everyone surely still remembers that nice romcom About A Boy in which Hugh Grant plays someone who never has to work again, because his father once wrote a Christmas hit that brings in a fat check every year. You would think it's a bit made up, but it's reality for the songwriters of our favorite Christmas music.
Every year when the Christmas records are dusted off again, the cash register rings for Bob Geldof, Mariah Carey, George Michael and other writers of Christmas classics. For example, the band Slade earns about six hundred thousand euros every January thanks to their Merry XMas Everybody and the boys from the 90s boy band East 17 receive an annual pocket money of around 42,000 euros, because their Stay Another Day is a favorite on the Christmas playlists of British radio stations. The all-time classic White Christmas takes the number 2 position on the list of best earning songs of all time with an estimated revenue of 36 million euros. By the way, numbers 7 and 10 on that list are also Christmas songs.
So if you this Christmas cozily sing songs with the family at the piano, let your own creativity run free as well, because an extra treat in January is something everyone can use.
