Bring out the Gemma Glitter in yourself

We have certainly given you some inspiration va-va-voom over the past few days the Christmas table but we can never get enough of glitter. Nothing at home? No problem, you can see it as the much-needed inspiration for next week; New Year's Eve. To ensure you don't look like a walking Christmas tree, we also give you some tips and tricks to keep all that glitter in place.

A lipstick might not be the most practical option for a long Christmas dinner, let alone loose glitter that we stick on our lips. Do you have a gathering where you don't feel like having silly conversations? Then this look might be an option.

How do you do it? Use smaller glitters, as large ones won't stick. Scrub your lips and then apply a good layer of Vaseline. You can also use a glue-like product for the lips. These are available at MAC and Make Up Store. Then apply the glitter with your fingertip or a brush. Make sure to wet the brush, otherwise the glitter won't stick.

The eyes can sparkle. You can achieve this in various ways. With a metallic eyeliner, you keep it catchy yet sophisticated. The eyebrow is a case apart. You have to dare, but if you go for it, it's super funky. In this case, I do recommend leaving the above tips as they are, unless you really want to live like a disco queen. Apply it with a skin glue and some coarser glitter or sequins. Really choose that skin glue if you want to have an eyebrow left the day after.

6. Extra large glitters via Make-up Forever 

Of course, we are not really going to stick stars on our cheeks, but a shimmer is always good. It's not too intense and gives a shine that you can easily use these days. It's also nice if you extend it a bit beyond the face. Think of the neck and if you have bare legs? Then you can also apply it there.
