How to rock the pony
As you know, I've had a fringe for a while now equipped with a fringe. It took some getting used to, but by now I can't imagine it any other way. I did get a bit wobbly from this winter. With the turbulent weather, your fringe goes all over the place, under a hat (sorry dear colleagues, but YES I do wear a beanie sometimes in winter), it doesn't look entirely charming and I get nervous every time I go to the hairdresser because I'm so afraid it will be cut just a bit too short. Anyway. When I was looking at the hair trends of this winter and saw the fringe, in many variations, I knew I didn't have to worry. Let me summarize the trends.
The sleek fringe, my favorite. The fringe is full, so make sure it's cut well and you don't just have a few thin strands hanging on your forehead, and long, over the eyebrows. It falls very naturally, so it looks like no work has been done, but blow-drying it in the right direction is quite handy. And if it gets just a bit too long? Then you wear it to the side like Moss. Just as easy.
We don't know Saskia de Brauw any other way, but the short fringe is also a trending topic. I mean, Beyoncé also had it cut for a reason. A bit of a rocky look. You can cut it completely short and straight, but if you don't dare, there's a solution. Just a high ponytail in your hair, and secure it forward with wax and pins. It's immediately a little test to see if a fringe actually suits you at all.
Continuing on the previous trend, a fringe doesn't always have to sit perfectly. It can also be nice and messy, far from perfection. Now it looks like the kitchen scissors have been used, but far from it. Apparently, a shape has been cut in with a lot of precision and it's all about the length differences.
No fringe? No problemo. You can actually fake it quite well. By that ponytail, which I mentioned earlier, or by creating a so-called lock. You wear your hair diagonally over your head and drape it neatly behind your other ear. A bit Gucci-like. The big advantage? No scissors involved.
